ISS is returning to the VIs, but only for a few passes before her sighting opportunities will be possible during the early AM hours. (If anyone would like the morning schedule(s), I will be pleased to share them with you. A mug of coffee with ISS!) :-)

Arriving from the NNW and Departing to the NNW. Note: This is a short run and will not span much of the sky, but I thought I would post it anyway, since NASA did.

Thursday - 8/30

A 4 min. run @30 degrees over the horizon
Arriving from the North and Departing to the East (N to E)

Saturday - 9/1
@ 7:20pm
A 4 min. run @ 60 degrees (near overhead) over the horizon
Arriving from the WNW and Departing to the SSE (WNW to SSE)

Note: I backed up the time for each run by one (1) minute just to allow for targetting the 'arrival' location in the sky.

Tam, yes. Both dolphins and whales get their sleep by keeping half their brains awake while the other half sleeps. They do this because they must conscienciously breathe; they're breathing is not an automatic sympathetic response like ours and many other species on earth.
