Why would anyone with good business sense open a chicken place for the third time in the same location after two failures? If it didn't work the first two times , why would it work now? Especially with the current economic state of the island?
This doesn't make any sense to me at all! I don't get it. I hope they prove me so wrong. I would hate to see another place go under.

If it is owned by the Middle Eastern community, like the ones before it, they will keep trying...that community does not give up on St. Croix. There are some lessons to be learned there. Look at what is being done with the former Schooner Bay Market, for example...solar panels, paved parking lot, etc.

I think those guys have great business sense happy

Fathi Yusuf (Plaza Extra) started out with a little shoe store across from the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Christiansted. He never ran away, never gave up.

Google indicates the "parent company" is based out of Louisiana and have locations all over the U.S. The manager, or "trainer" of the STX location is from Louisiana and is "visiting" STX while training the employees. Definitely a "franchise" based on what I've researched. Don't know who the local franchise owner owner is. Seems like they got their permits and everything in place rather quickly.

And Foodtown was a hardware store before it was Foodtown, a True Value I think, and I think they had something else in there before that,(possibly a furniture place?) but I could be mistaken about that. Same people, but they finally found the right mix.

We've been there twice this week, grabbing something quick for dinner on our way home from work. We're working our way through the menu, really enjoyed the Cajun chicken strips, the catfish was ok - we had our orders to go and it sat in the bag for a while before we got around to eating. My husband likes the corn on the cob, I didn't care for it - battered and fried, how could I not like that? Tonight we had the fried shrimp ... YUM! Haven't tried the corn dogs, jalapeƱo poppers, egg rolls, wings or fried chicken yet, we'll need to pace ourselves. Didn't seem outrageous in price to me, and the cashier girl has been very friendly and helpful both times. I am hopeful for their success, it's certainly a tough business to be in.

Chicken shack raise the price to $6.50 for the half chicken and 2 johnny cake deal.
Still the best deal on island.

Well, I tried to eat there again yesterday. Tried. Got there at 11:30 AM Saturday and they were still setting up. Said they were behind schedule. Owner probably forgot that he told me the same thing the two previous times I went there to eat. I suggested that he put a sign on his door with the hours of operation instead of an OPEN sign which was there. He didn't seem too concerned.

Anyone tried the cinnamon rolls? They were pretty good (fresh and warm) a couple weeks ago when I tried one.

KrispyKrunchy is the franchise that is in the quick shop gas stations around me in Kentucky. I've never tried it but now I will. And, looking forward to having some this winter!

Do they have all the dipping sauces listed on their website? I will just close my eyes, get a chicken biscuit and pretend it is Bojangles, Hardees or Chik Fil A.

It looks like Krispy Krunchy Chicken is dead. No signs of life there for a few months now.
Not surprised at all.

Nope. Burger King does not work on STX. It failed twice.
Franchise owners from PR were absentee owners and the efforts
to unionized killed it two times.
