There were two loud BOOMS around 10-11pm last night during lowtide that originated about halfway from Buck Island when a large sailboat hit the reef near the channel markers and flipped on it's side.

The boat did not flip over on its side. A Sea Tow boat helped keep it upright until high tide this morning at which time the boat was freed.

That's great to hear! From the shore directly in front of where it happened (and when it happened -- i was the schmuck shining the spotlight from shore when the speedboat went past...), it looked like the boat was on its side.
