Don't believe the VI Government would pay so either party or private donor paid.
Hard to believe party would pay, either, tho since they keep saying the can't afford to pay for their primary and want election board/taxpayer to foot the bill.

Who's footing the bill when Mapp goes to China? If it's the VI Government I'm sure the money will have been well spent when that select group of Chinese investors he's wooing will build the major hotel he has his heart set on - the one that Disney was all set to build until, well, it turned out they really weren't ... big grin

Why would the VI Govt pay for Bill Clinton's trip to campaign for his wife?

That makes no sense.

Of course it makes no sense. When anyone from "there" sets foot here it's the norm for the forum to start humming with speculation about who's paying for the visit, regardless if it's an official visit or a vacation. big grin

He was probably just stopping by on his way to Little St. James. Gotta make it look legit.

I just saw the photo in the Daily News. From what I can see, almost every senator was there. Did they pay $1,000+ to attend? That's what I would like to know. If they did, did it come from their "budget", which comes from us taxpayers, or did they pay from their pocket?

You could call and ask, taxpayer's rights and all that.

You did not have to pay to attend. The payment was for a private meet and greet/picture session AFTER the public event was concluded.

Every notice I received said $1,000 or $2,500 for a separate meeting and photo. It was billed as a fundraiser.

Usually travel expenses are paid by the campaigns. This includes expenses for the venue and food for the public meetings and private fundraising events.

If food or cost of the venue is donated (say by a hotel or private individual), this should be reported as contributions in kind.

The money raised in the fundraising events goes to the campaign or the party (it is usually clearly indicated in the invitation as different contribution limits apply).

It is customary for elected officials to attend these meetings for free (they also get pictures with the candidate, which they may reuse in their own campaigns).

This is the same for both parties.

Girls who are of the age that Epstein and Clinton enjoy are not children anymore, therefore pedophile isn't the accurate term.

I believe the correct terminology for their predilection is ephebophile or teleiophile depending on the age.

Just saying...

Additionally, anyone attending this event would need to be cleared by the Secret Service. This, of course, because of Clinton's status as a former president of the US.

thumbs up

Funny thing is that a few of those republicans that went after Clinton to impeach him over the Monica Lewinsky affair, over 20 years ago, have been recently indicted on sexual abuse and pedophile charges.

Because they are all the same crooked, manipulated, spineless greedy people. Why is Bill even here drumming up support for the disenfranchised. This is going to be the best election cycle I've been apart of since 1988 (I couldn't vote yet) because I won't have people telling me "if you don't vote you have no right to complain". Another perk of living here. No need to waste your time in meaningless elections pitting one idiot v another.

No, the Democratic Party did not pay anything.

No, the Senators did not pay for the Meet and Greet.

He's gone, nothing to see here.
