Thank you CruzinIron and Alana33 --- conversations here so far has about about convinced me the cart will probably not be a good option and as bad as my bride will hate to have to give it up - it will have to be sold here. Maybe we can use the proceeds from it for a beater of some type for our time on STX.
Thankx again for the iinsight~!

You might want to check if they're allowed on St. John.
Many years ago, a neighbor of my sister, Doris Jadan, drove her golf cart around Cruz Bay. Hers was the only one I've ever seen on the road.
She was a beloved St. John personality.
Don't know if it was a special allowance due to her age and community standing.

Thank you Alana33... but it is starting to sound like it just won't be worth the effort and costs........ we had originally planned to just travel with some suitcases to keep our plan as simple and easy as possible..... a golf cart would really complicate that. I was just wondering about the cart - cause sometimes I think it is more special to her than I am ;-)
Besides - it is a VERY custom cart and I would constantly have to worrry about somebody running off with it.
Thankx~
