They also need travelers for pups that can fly in cabin.
All of our shelters and rescue organizations on all 3 islands are overwhelmed.
Please help if you can.

It is very unfortunate that we don't have Animal Control to deal with the abundance of feral animals. The Humane Society has a totally different mission and should not have been placed in this situation. There is no way this island can absorb 70 animals a week, or whatever number they receive. And don't the 50 states have enough stray animals of their own without sending them more?

The Pet With Wings program has been successful in saving many puppies, dogs and cats lives. All 3 islands have these programs. I wish there was a mandatory spay/neuter law in effect. Even if it was for a 5 year period so the shelters and rescue organizations could catch a break and their breath.

Right now, HSSTT needs travelers going to Boston, D.C., Atlanta and St. Louis.

I just watched a WTJX show that featured the STT Humane Society.
Just this month, they took in 79 dogs - 33 of which were owner surrendered and 60 cats. In just this month, alone!

Reah, the shelter manager, was in tears explaining how difficult and heartbreaking it is to have to euthanize a sick or severely injured animal, much less a beautiful, healthy one because they have NO ROOM nor anyone to adopt and give them a loving forever home.

Please spay and neuter your pets, don't shop, adopt, volunteer, donate your time, food, toys, cleaning supplies, medications, kennels, dog or cat beds, money, etc., foster, sign up for their Pet With Wings program if you're traveling.

These are issues facing all our shelters and rescue organizations on all 3 islands. It's heartbreaking.

There are programs to defray costs of S/N.
On STT there is a trap and release program for ferel cats sponsored by Lucky Paws.

They are s/n before releasing. They can always use donations and volunteers for the feeding stations and cat cafe's they have at various locations around the island.
