Someone on Facebook got 6 months. She's been here 40 years. So, thumbs down on the quiz.

I got 6 months too. Time to pack like I've been threatening to do.

I have lived all over the U.S. but this is the only place I have ever lived that the length of time you have lived here is the main information that people share when meeting. It is so odd to me. It seems to be a source of pride that you made it so long or a measure of toughness. The other odd thing is that only white people do it. I have never once had a crucian, latino or any other person of color ask me how long I have lived here. Transplants even introduce others to you by how long they have lived here. "Oh, this is John, he's been here 25 years, Kelly over there is a newbie, she's only been here 6 months, Tom and Jane over there have been here 2 years, they might make it, Dan is gone, he lasted a year." The only other place I can think of that people have conversations about time living in a place is prison. "How long you been in? What are you in for?" So strange to me. I went to an AA meeting last week to support someone who was getting a 1 year medallion for sobriety and I just wanted to stand up and say, "Hi, I'm Tammy and I have lived on St. Croix for __ years." Then I had to stifle my giggles. By the way, I took the test and it said I was a lifer. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Cute quiz, they used to tell us in school that the best answer on multiple choice was usually "c)," however in this quiz, it seems to be "d)?"

I think because many local Governments fit that profile.
