We are going to be on STX in early February and were wondering if there was a source to find out where we might be able to help out for a day or so.

The St. Croix Animal Welfare Center can definitely use some help!

ALSO - if you would be willing and able to escort a puppy or cat with you on your return trip please contact Paws from Paradise. Let them know what city you are returning to.

So many asking for volunteers on Facebook everyday for several non-profits. Just search St. Croix pages. Or the Irma Maria check in page. We have a plethora of organizations seeking help.

Also, you can enjoy yourself while helping a non-profit as well by buying things at The Blue Mutt in C'sted or taking a horseback ride with Cruzan Cowgirls. Both have Facebook pages.

YW! I second the suggestions by rose island.

Jen from Cruzan Cowgirls does so much for the horses on the island, and their horseback riding business helps pay their huge bills.

The Blue Mutt in Christiansted does an amazing job in helping find homes for cats and dogs and transporting them to the states. And they have a really cute selection of gifts and products for both humans and pets.

We are too busy to take on volunteers currently (it takes a surprising amount of time to get new volunteers up to a "useful" level where they do not have to be supervised).

But certainly the other mentioned organizations could use the help! we've been flying cats and dogs off island with our guests since the hurricane, though it's slowed down a bit (anyone want some dogs that used to be puppies? haha)

I wonder if the old age home or the children's home use volunteers
