Amazon Shipping Question - Where to accept shipments?

Hi,

We're on Island trying to secure permanent accommodation, (that's a whole other story), and I need to order an Item off Amazon. Is there a place that would accept a small shipment (copy place or another business service)? We are in a vacation rental right now and I haven't seen anyone in the office to ask inquire about receiving a package here.

TIA!!

The post office accepts General Delivery mail. Check PO website or main PO.

You can rent a private box, but I don't know of any on St Croix.

On STT there are a few mail services you can sign up with:
I don't know the names of them all but there's one on East End in the shopping plaza, Red Hook Mail Services, there's one at Crown Bay Marina, one up behind Lt.Governor's Office by Hospital.

Their services cost more than regular Post Office boxes but you can receive packages that some companies won't mail to a USVI PO Box #. Lines tend to be shorter, too.

I'm sure STX has similar services that someone can chime in on.
Check local phone directory for mail services.

Ditto for STJ.

You can also ship to STT Cargo in Miami and pick it up at their office on STT.

Just put your name
General delivery
The main PO in STX addy

We did this after the hurricanes for months and worked fine. Watch the tracking and go in a day after it says delivered with tracking and an ID.

Thanks every one. I am able to ship to the office here for now. I thought Prime worked here? Does anyone use Amazon Prime here? I had to pay for shipping. No big deal, but if anyone has a hack for using Amazon Prime, I'd love to know.

Thanks!

If you read the Prime small print, free shipping isn't available in the VI.

Yes, I've heard that. I'm saying that they do not offer free shipping to the VI. From the website:

Ineligible

Items fulfilled by Amazon Marketplace sellers that are not marked as Prime-eligible.
Magazine subscriptions.
Personalized gift cards.
Any item that doesn't have a message indicating that it's eligible for Prime on its product page.
Addresses in the U.S. territories, possessions, protectorates (other than Puerto Rico).
International destinations.
Items with Scheduled Delivery.
