Has anyone had any experiences with the service department of Toyota on St. Croix?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Stay away! I took my electronic key for my truck to be copied. They told me $70 and had to order. No problem. when It came in I gave them my key to verify it was correct. They said all was good and I owed $180, 70 for the key and $110 for the reprogramming.no where on my invoice did id say that and no one told me. So I declined the key. The refused to give my my original key unless I paid. I had to get a manger and he agreed, when I continued to ask they all just started at their computer and ignored me. When the clerk brought my key to the manager and put it on his desk he said no payment no key. Luckily the phone rang and he answered it grabbed my original key and left, all while he was shouting at me to come back. Never again.

You can take your key to a locksmith.
Not sure about cost but when I was at Frank's Lock & Key on STT, there was a man picking up an electrsonic key and they did the programming.
I've got a 1997 Tacoma Toyota that I bought in 2000 and still going strong.
I've never taken it to the dealership here on STT.
Find a good mechanic and stick with him.

Hey Alana....That's what I did right after. A guy in the waiting area heard all this going on and told me to go to Caribbean lock and safe.

stxsailor, that is just nuts!!! Highway robbery if you ask me.
I'm glad you were able to grab your key and get away.

All car dealerships are trouble.
Stateside and here.

Find a small local garage with a trustworthy owner/mechanic and avoid the dealership bloodsuckers altogether.

Or maintain it yourself.
