We'll also be homeschooling a 9 (almost 10) year-old. We will be arriving next month (April). If nothing else it would be great to set up field trips where the kids can get together.

Please let us know if you find any additional info of home schoolers on the island!

New to the island and forum. Just moved here and we will be homeschooling our two girls 7 and 9. I cannot seem to find any forum/groups for home school community on this board. Anyone out there? Thanks

Hey Island family,

Would any of you be interested in attending a Waldorf-Based Playgroup/Co-Op?
This is something I have wanted to do for a while on St. Croix. Our boys are 4.5 and 2. Our 4.5 year old attends a Waldorf-based preschool in the states, however, we spend 3 months every year on island. For more information on Waldorf Based Education []
If i Can get a commitment from Atleast 2 other families, I will organize and make it happen. So let me know,

We are a homeschooling family ( daughter 16, Son12) who live in NH normally, but my husband has been in St. Croix since last October after the Hurricanes ( he's a lineman). He usually comes home every 6 weeks, but now that he has a condo there we're planning on escaping the brutal winters of New England and spending time in St. Croix, we're headed there October 1st through the 16th, for our first trip, then home for a month then back and forth for the duration of the winter. We're looking for friends! We have a wonderful homeschool community where we are now, and the kids are not wanting to leave, I was hoping if we made some new friends they would enjoy their time in the carribean a little more.

Hi everyone! I noticed that a lot of people responded to this post so I wanted to add that my 12yr old son and I are moving back to the island in November and I would like to get connected with other Moms and Dads! I lived in East End several years ago and I cannot wait to return for good. I will be homeschooling and I was wondering which program you guys are using on island. I've had success in the States with Connections Academy but I'm now trying to figure out if it will work on Island. Any tips?
Stay well,
