Locating waste bins STT? - 3 months ago
I'm sure this question must have already been asked, but I couldn't find it when I searched the forum. How can I find the waste bins where we take our trash on STT? Is there a map somewhere? I've seen a few of them, but would like to find the nearest one to me. Also, do people buy garbage cans to keep outside? If so, where do you get these? And finally: how do you keep your car clean and garbagby Tiamichaud - General/Relocating

Apparently Home Depot doesn't carry them (looking for white). Any other places I can buy one of these locally? Thanks!by Tiamichaud - General/Relocating

Shipping bathtub to st thomas? - 4 months ago
Hi, I'm looking for a (small) soaking bathtub, but I can't figure out how to get one on St Thomas. We are arriving on 8/15, and a contractor is working on the bathroom now. Any ideas: 1) who might have one in stock (nothing in Home Depot or Interiors) 2) if someone has one they want to sell? Or 3) what shipping company people use to get something from the mainland to STT? (We found a tub at Homeby Tiamichaud - General/Relocating
Is wifi reliable on STT to hold a telecommuting job? - 6 months ago
Hi, I'm planning on telecommuting back to the states for work, at least temporarily. How reliable is the wifi on STT? We will be living somewhere a few minutes above/overlooking Charlotte Amalie. I understand that WAPA goes out frequently, but am less clear about how reliable the internet is. Are there ways to keep it running stably? What methods have people found to keep it consistent? Thankby Tiamichaud - General/Relocating

Fencing companies- not cyclone! - 6 months ago
Hi, Cyclone fencing is not calling me back or returning my emails. I have practically been stalking them lol! Any other suggestions for good fencing companies? I'm trying to fence in my yard before August so that my dog can roam in our yard and not run into traffic! Thanks in advance, Tiaby Tiamichaud - General/Relocating

Good fencing companies - 9 months ago
First, you guys are awesome! Thanks so much for all your help so far! Ok, now we need someone to fence in our yard to keep our dog safe and happy. Who are your favorite fencing people? We are looking for quality and cost. Since we have 5 months to build a fence, I don't think we are as worried about time efficiency. Thanks in advance! Tiaby Tiamichaud - General/Relocating
Best architect/building team? - 9 months ago
Hi, My husband wants to hire Chris and Matt Tavernier. Does anyone have any positive or negative things to say about them? They seem nice, but I figured I would double-check. Any other suggestions of people who did a great job, quickly (defined as keeping to the time they said it would take for them to do it), at a reasonable price? Thanks in advance! Thank you for all of your replies! The house we are looking at has a cistern of 5,000 gallons. I take baths, and one of my chiefest pleasures in life is my large bathtub. My husband doesn't conserve water; if I can't teach him to put a towel back on a rack when he is done with it, I am not going to hold my breath for him to learn to live greener. We will also have 2-3 children living with us at aby Tiamichaud - General/Relocating
Hi, my husband and I are looking at houses to buy, but some of them have small cisterns. How expensive/lengthy of a process would it be to add on a nice big cistern (on St. Thomas)?by Tiamichaud - General/Relocating
