Re: Nice to see our Gov. being sensitive to the needs - 4 months ago
Beeski, You should look into the FEMA plane that leaves from next to UPS at the airport on STX every morning at about 1000 to STT, and then returns at 1600. Its free for DoD and military. They may let your technicians use it if you ask and tell them you can't find rooms in STT. I took it yesterday and there were several open seats. I don't have a number for them, but there are people at the UPS lby nittanypete - General/Relocating
Re: Crime in St. Croix - 6 months ago
I caught fast eddie in my house two years ago stealing some dive gear. He is up for parole at the end of the month, so get ready to see him again. The DA let him plea to possession of stolen property instead of prosecuting him for something more serious. I have also caught him peeking in my windows a couple other times before that too.by nittanypete - General/Relocating
Re: Contractor Recommendations on STX - 7 months ago
Just renewing this thread to see if anyone has any other recommendations for builders/contractors in STX. I got a little sidetracked, but I am going to start getting some quotes soon. Thanks.by nittanypete - General/Relocating
Re: Cruzin Scooter Bar - 7 months ago
A few years we stopped in at the end of the night. He was nice at first taking shots with us. Then he suddenly decided we stole his keys and tried to lock us in the bar until we gave them back. Quite an interesting evening.by nittanypete - General/Relocating
Beach Volleyball - 10 months ago
Anyone know what happened to the beach volleyball games that used happen over at Hibiscus before it closed down. Did they move it somewhere else? Also are there any other pic up sports/leagues going on around STX? Thanks.by nittanypete - General/Relocating

Leash Laws? - 11 months ago
Is there a leash law for dogs in the VI? I haven't seen anything official, but I have seen a few comments on this site when I searched that there were not any leash laws. The reason I ask is because this morning the guy raking up the seaweed at Club St. Croix Condos decided he would throw rocks at my dogs. I have been walking them the same route for 4 years with no problems before today.by nittanypete - General/Relocating

Moving from STT to STX - 4 years ago
I already did the big move from the US to STT a year ago, but now I finally got a good long term job but I have to move from STT to STX. I cannot find anything about moving between the two, everything online is about moving from the states the first time. Any tips seeing as the car ferry is down and apparently I will have to ship my car. Also, is there any areas you would recommend to live closeby nittanypete - General/Relocating
