appliances and salt damage - 12 years ago
We are going to be in STX the first of May looking for a condo. I have heard a little about being near the water is VERY bad on all of your appliances and other belongings. Since the island is only 5 to 7 miles wide, and you could only be 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 miles from the beach, does it really make much difference?by terry - General/Relocating

allegries - 12 years ago
DOES STX HAVE A ALLERGY SEASON LIKE WE DO HERE IN AZ. IN THE SPRING THE POLLEN GETS REAL BAD. SINCE YOU HAVE THE SAME WEATHER YEAR ROUND, IS IT A PROBLEM. WHEN WE WERE THERE IN CHRISTMAS, I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.by terry - General/Relocating
Re: condo property manager - 12 years ago
Sorry I didn't mention which island. St Croix. We would want someone to take care of rentals, cleaning, etc. The 10% sounds fair. I don't think we want a full time renter, A long term would be fine, but full time wouldn't leave anywhere for us to stay.by terry - General/Relocating

week rental - 13 years ago
We are comming May2nd thru May 9th to look for a condo. Does anyone have an idea of where to stay that is decent yet ecomonical. Something in the $50 to $90 dollar per night range. Last time we stayed at the Divi, and while it was very very nice, we want to save money this time. A condo would be great.by terry - General/Relocating
