Was on island for April. The weatherman said rain every day (about 50%) but it was only showers and they passed quickly. No worries. Just go to another part of the island. You can watch the sky and decide where to go that day. The wind was more irritating. But when it died - it was VERY warm. Loved every minute of it tho.by MistB'Haven - General/Relocating

Just returned. Dinner at Tutto Bene was awesome! Dinner at Salud was awesome! Four of us and each and every one loved their meals, apps and drinks. Prices were reasonable, considering.by MistB'Haven - General/Relocating

Good Luck! I am here now for my 3 week PMV. One full day yesterday and if I can find a house out of the wind, I'm in. The hubs was ready as well, just needed me to be on board.by MistB'Haven - General/Relocating

I have no island marina stories either. But I did sell my boat and my slip in a marina in KY to make this move. So I look forward to stories of marina life here. (Notice how I speak in the present tense?) Hopefully some day I will have another boat and will be able to contribute stories to this thread. I love this thread. It's so good to hear everyone saying wonderful things. I find so much negativity on this forum for STX. The STJ travel forum is filled with loving thoughts for the island and I was concerned about STX not being the same. That said, we spent 3 weeks on STJ last year and the hubs and I decided it was time to go. We picked STX for various reasons and on several recommendationby MistB'Haven - General/Relocating

And I was more looking for information such as which areas to check out and which to not waste my time, what are the great local hangouts for food and cold refreshing adult beverages, things along those lines. Additionally, anyone know a good realtor? So, we are planning the move for the next 6-12 months and have decided on St. Croix. Many questions, but the first few are: can I bring my leather furniture (I'm sensing a big NO), can I bring my plants, can I get away with keeping a stateside PO box for health insurance purposes, should I sell all my furniture and buy new, and should I sell my cars and buy on island?
