Re: FBI refuses to release Hillary Clinton files citing insufficient public interest - 10 months ago
Hey time to move on. Hillary is out of the picture. With this thug in the WH there are bigger fish to fry.by etownster - Under a Coconut Tree
Re: new president - 1 year ago
Trump may be described as a con man, a narcissist, crude, a bully and a whole lot more unpleasant labels and then compared with this or that US President or other historical figure (Mussolini anyone), but sadly all those character flaws are shall I say trumped by the plain to see fact that the man is mentally deranged! His behavior taken as a whole in the last year is not that of a rationaby etownster - Under a Coconut Tree

Magicjack - 1 year ago
With the recent loss of Sprint LD service for fixed line telephone, my understanding is that leaves only VIYA as the sole remaining LD option. I'm thinking of dropping VIYA fixed line altogether after 35 yrs of service to avoid the recurring monthly charge and moving to voip. Does anyone have experience with MagicjackGo ($35/yr) or other voip phone service which uses a direct internet conneby etownster - Under a Coconut Tree
Re: Air Ambulance - MASA or SKYMED? - 1 year ago
I don't need a lecture. I didn't come here to chit chat. Every non-response generates an email reminder that gets me back here for no reason. Posting to add nothing substantial must be some sort of fallout from the use of Facebook and other "social" media. Sorry I just don't get it.by etownster - General/Relocating
Re: Air Ambulance - MASA or SKYMED? - 1 year ago
Well I asked for advice from someone who has had hands on experience with these two companies and get 3 answers from people who have never used them?!by etownster - General/Relocating
Air Ambulance - MASA or SKYMED? - 1 year ago
I'd appreciate anyone's input on current air ambulance operator's - MASA and SKYMED. Their plans and pricing are very similar which is why I hope to hear from someone who has had hands on experience which might tip the balance . Danby etownster - General/Relocating

What is the condition of the support arms and the hard plastic LNB boss? Mine are badly deteriorated. Am I correct that you have the CM 1.8m dish? Danby etownster - USVI Classifieds
Where is my beloved NPR? - 3 years ago
From last Sunday NPR is off the air replaced by a commercial station with more mindless and unnecessary music. NPR has been like a breath of "fresh air" amidst a slew of broadcast spam elsewhere. Serious talk, debate, news and culture which you can not find anywhere else in the territory. Maybe we aren't adult enough here for such fare. And no commercials! Does anyone have the scoopby etownster - Under a Coconut Tree
VOIP in St Croix - 3 years ago
I'd be grateful if anyone having experience with VOIP in the US Virgins would post their comments. I'm using Broadband VI on the residential plan with DL > 1000 mbps UL ~ 500 mbps. Lingo apparently offers service here with retention of the local number, or so they say for a base plan of $9.95/mo with no contract. Sounds too good to be true... Danby etownster - USVI Classifieds
Re: Health Insurance - Revisited - 7 years ago
BUPA is the only way to go. Rates are OK with a high deductible ($5000), i.e. catastrophic insurance. That high deductible allows one to open an HSA where money can be squirreled away for a rainy day tax free much like health "IRA". Danby etownster - General/Relocating
