Re: Thinking about moving to the USVI ! - 4 months ago
Before making the jump I would take some time on each of the islands so you can really get a feel for them and see if it's a good fit. I put most of my stuff in storage and spent a month really exploring the area before I completely committed.by MaryZ67 - Community

Re: More Bad News for Sears/Kmart - 4 months ago
We are up in the States right now and all of the Sears/ Kmarts in our area have closed. If I had a choice I prefer Target over Walmart but Walmarts seem to be better in smaller communities.by MaryZ67 - General/Relocating
We are contemplating relocating to USVI with our elementary age kids, is there are pretty large home school community? We have home schooled for several years and utilize a lot of online curriculum but I am concerned about the social interaction,by MaryZ67 - Community

Re: Possibly moving to St. Croix - 10 months ago
What an exciting opportunity for you both! That is going to be quite a move and culture change. I would recommend a long term rental while you explore different areas that you would like to live permanently. Best of luck to you!by MaryZ67 - General/Relocating
Re: Which Island Should I Move To? - 10 months ago
Find a short term rental for a while when you first move so you have some time to explore and check out different areas before you commit to something more permanent.by MaryZ67 - General/Relocating
Re: Seeking some impartial advice about possibly moving - 10 months ago
What a great opportunity! If you and your wife can make it work, even if it's just for a few years, I would encourage you to go for it. My husband and I still live in the same the state that we were both born in but we are trying to work out a big move. It's much more challenging with kids, school, etc. Best of luck to you!by MaryZ67 - General/Relocating
