We did call the animal shelter as soon as we got home. We considered trying to see if we could catch the dog, but there was traffic and the poor guy ...

We're arriving on Feb. 18th and leaving on Feb. 23rd - we timed it to make Mardi Croix. We're glad to hear that it isn't necessarily a touristy event...

Mardi Croix is on Saturday, Feb. 21st. I believe there is a parade that starts in LaVallee and ends at Cane Bay.
