I know you all need the rain on Stx, but my Pre-move visit is scheduled for next week, and it looks as tho it is suppose to rain the whole time I'm there......Please tell me the Weather guy is smoking crack and I might be able to experience some sunshine and turquoise waters 😎

It doesn't rain all day and then it may rain in only certain parts of the island and it usually only rains for a short time. no worries, it's the tropics.

The crack is delicious here, but I don't think the politicians share w the weatherman. It will be so hot and sunny that you'll welcome a nice rain shower. Plus, the plants liven up after a good rain.

You'll have a blast, don't worry about the weather!

Agree with all .. rarely, very rarely does it rain all day. And if the is PMV then what does it matter really. It is something you will have to deal with sooner or later. But nah, despite what they say on the weather - even a 50% chance means that there is a 50% chance it will rain somewhere in PR or the islands for ten minutes.

Come on down!

Is that the Accu-weather forecast? Then expect good weather.

Actually weather underground calls for mostly-sunny-to-partly-cloudy-and-breezy-with-scattered-showers which is the standard spring forecast. Enjoy your visit.

Loving this thread... 🙂 I've been watching the daily forecast on my iPhone for weeks, and every single day has a big cluster of raindrops on it! Here in Phoenix, people are crazy when it rains. They cancel their plans, including simple things like dinner at a restaurant, because they don't want to have to drive. Kids run to the window at school to watch the rain. It's nuts. And it's been rubbing off on me over the 3 years I've lived here! Glad to see it's not all day rain in the VI. 🙂

Was on island for April. The weatherman said rain every day (about 50%) but it was only showers and they passed quickly. No worries. Just go to another part of the island. You can watch the sky and decide where to go that day. The wind was more irritating. But when it died - it was VERY warm. Loved every minute of it tho.

The island weather forecasts are about as useful as a horoscope. What does "30% chance of rain" even mean? That's the forecast on most days. Your best bet is to look at a weather map. If there isn't a big red blob heading in from the east, then it's gonna be fine. And once you live here, you'll welcome every drop. It beats paying for water.
