advice on cleaning windows

So I've been here a week now (yea!), and we're in a rental by the beach so I'm sure you guys can imagine what my windows look like by now. I tried to clean them with 409 glass & surface cleaner, and I think I just spread the salt spray around! Is there any special way or product I should use to clean them?

Thanks

I was thinking you drink the cheap vodka and then you won't care so much about your windows 😉

Someone sent me a bulk pack of microfiber towels. They are fantastic for cleaning windows. You don't even need a special cleaner-- just water. I get two buckets of water-- one for the dirtier rinse and a second dunk to get the towel cleaner before swiping more windows. Absolutely streak free, less elbow grease, less expense, quicker! A second towel is used to dry.

I've used a variety of products to clean windows over the years but the best old reliable standby is a mixture of vinegar and water. It will clean any gunk on your windows as it is a weak acid.

the vinegar-water is good to wipe your applicances down with also to keep the salt condensation from building up and speeding rust/corrosion.

i use ammonia, vinegar and water, but i'm not sure ammonia helps,,,in fact i wonder if that hurts the rust situation.

I use vinegar and water - and I use a squeegie. I got one in the auto dept at good ole K-mart. Works great.

If you would like to practice, please feel free to come to my house !!!
