So as a last ditch effort (in case my dog can't fly on Wednesday with me) I've found that I can ship her to STT cargo, but I haven't found out anything on STT to STX, since the ferry is down

Anyone have suggestions?

Ill look into it, I'm dealing with a dog & crate that will weigh close to or slightly over 100lbs.. That's the issue with America Airlines to STX

I found an odd sized crate (27" tall) and my big girl fits, hopefully all goes well at the counter tomorrow and she sails through the AA counter 🙂

Excited to finally end this exodus & be "home", hopefully ill be on island tomorrow!

So all three dogs are checked with AA!

I stuck my foot under the big dogs cage & lifted a little while she weighed; that got my big dog in under weight 😉

Ill be landing in a couple hours!

Great job and wonderful news! I'll have to remember that foot-trick. So I understand that if a dog+crate is <= 100 lbs that they can fly accompanied on American Airlines all the way to STX. How did your dogs do? Did they seem really stressed out when you met back up with them? Good luck with your transition. I hope everything goes well for all of you.

for weight it's what you said, 100lbs or less with crate, I just sort of leaned my toe under the front edge of the kennel and lifted a little to keep her under 100lbs (she was only about 115 with crate after her aggressive "diet" I had her on the last couple weeks).

the puppies were fine, but they always seem to be; we raised them a lot differently than any other dog I've owned and it seems to be making a difference.

their mom went a little nuts, I had given her a dose of zanex (or something like that that the vet gave me) but she still almost chewed the top of her kennel off.. hahaha; it was her fights flight though & she made it the whole way so I couldn't be happier.
