I found the old thread on online companies that ship to the VI, but there wasn't any plumbing supplies on there. I am specifically looking for the Delta Touch 2o faucet. I can find it at several stores, including Home Depot and Faucets Direct. They won't ship to STX. They will ship to VI Cargo, or course, but then I have to pay FL sales tax, plus freight. Anyone know any plumbing/fixture cos. that will ship here. Thanks!

Juanita: We just had a great experience with Delta. We were having trouble with our faucet- called them directly and they sent a replacement via FedEx. (tu):-)

Ferguson told me they don't sell Delta faucets, and Home Depot in Puerto Rico doesn't have the one I want in stock and doesn't know if/when they will ever have it again.

I found a website called ImprovementDirect.com. I placed the order and received a confirmation showing Christiansted, VI 00820 on the shipping address. Free shipping. Now...I'm waiting for the shoe to drop and the email to arrive saying...Oops, we made a mistake, and we can't really ship that to you. That has happened before. Keep your fingers crossed!

Now this is interesting.
Home Depot website price $338, plus FL sales tax, about $23, free shipping to VI Cargo, then whatever their charge, probably $10-15
Improvement Direct price $341.88, free shipping to STX, and of course, no sales tax.
Tropical Plumbing on STX $560 (not in stock, would need to order) Wow!

This is what I would do.

Call Delta, or check the web page, and see what location ships out of FL. Order the part and ship it by USPS or UPS to you. Most plumbing suppliers will ship for you at minimum cost.

Juanita

PM me the exact model and finish you want and I will contact Ferguson. I buy Delta products from them. You must have had a bad customer rep on the phone.I know the manager and will see what I can do.

My new faucet has been installed for about two weeks now, and I LOVE it! Here's a benefit I hadn't even thought of....with touch technology, you use less water. It seems trivial, but the water wasted from the time you turn on the faucet to actual use, and then turn it off again, adds up. I did an experiment.

I used the traditional handle and turned it on and washed my hands, with soap, and a good rinse. I did it over a pot. The water measured 2 cups. I washed my hands again, the same way, using the touch feature, and I only used 1.25 cups of water.

I know, who cares? LOL.:@) But if you really want to save water, and want an excuse to get a really cool, new faucet....

BTW, I ordered from Faucet's Direct and had it sent to VI Cargo. No FL sales tax, and VIC was $10.
