Our self-serving senators should have jumped at the opportunity to sell to
Southern Energy, decades ago but ...."No, we don wan no white cheese telling we how to run ting dem"...BETTER!

Finding an entity to now buy WAPA, with its massive debts, outdated equipment, etc., I believe would be "yugely" challenging, at least.

thank chuncky as it was her opposition. remember i will get rid of the leac ? have another fish and chips sheep

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

My power bill has gone from 110 a month to 400 a month for the last two months....

I have 30 pannels and only use wapa at night (not netmetering)

I'm confused as hell..... it's been 100 a month for many many months.

You have to go into the office so they can dazzle you with their bullshit.

Picture of your meter with the paper, don't cover the meter number, at least 4 days before your last reading each day and until you see it has been read and finally posted on their website.

I have not had any problems (till i post this) with the readings. Last one was 1 kwh less than mine. Previous months remain consistent.

Remeber, pictures or it didn't happen. 😎

This month was another 400 bill...

I'm totally confused, we have a new meter and they can read it at WAPA.

I haven't been checking my meter, I'll have to start documenting it to see if it lines up..

Wapa is OFF to my house for a good 14 hours every day.

They could be reading the meter wrong (would seem unlikely with remote reading) or the meter could be reading wrong. First one much easier to prove if you read the meter yourself. Or maybe you have a leak. That would be fun to hunt down. Do you have a meter on your solar to see what the house is pulling during the day? What is the max kW rating of your solar and how does that compare with your WAPA daily average (do the math)? Is your house on 100% solar during the day or is there a part that is always on WAPA? If the WAPA daily average is significantly more than what your solar can put out and your not turning on more stuff at night then it would seem the meter is reading wrong. Do you have any close neighbors with long extension cords?

Probably in the software yeah, I haven't really connected to it yet

I over purchased, 30 pannels, don't use AC more than enough power when the sun is shining, I can run my electric dryer no problem (those take a lot more than an AC unit power wise.. since mines from the 1980's.. haha)

Is your house on 100% solar during the day or is there a part that is always on WAPA?

Yes, unless my batteries get too low, then it switches over to wapa to charge (super cloudy days this happens once or twice, but its short duration)

If the WAPA daily average is significantly more than what your solar can put out and your not turning on more stuff at night then it would seem the meter is reading wrong. Do you have any close neighbors with long extension cords?

I have 6 Giant breed dogs (3 South African BoerBoels, 1 Rot (ok, he's just large), 1 Dobi & a puppy Cane Corso Dobi mix; those last three are all from the shelter surprisingly), no one comes near my house or property... haha even when I invite them.

I just havent paid attention to it, for a year my bill was 100-150, now 355 and 400 back to back...

I paid it, but I hope a huge chunck of that turns into credit... need to start investigating but I'm still on this stupid base for this large military exercise we are wrapping up (yeah, they made us sleep here...)

So, my original post on this was April. The problem started in February. I just now got it resolved with WAPA today!! It only took about 6 calls and 2 office visits for them to fix my bill. The efficiency with which the work is amazing. Probably THE best all around experience with a utility company in all of my life. I can't praise them enough for all that they do to make sure my math skills stay honed. bahahahaha
