Vegas people

Come to the islands and explain customer service to the local resorts.
I Vegas the customer is king, you don't have to wait for your server to finish a phone call or wonder where things are at a hotel
I like the flags on the pool lounge chairs to show you need a beverage, just flip up your flag.
Even the floor managers will attend to your needs.
Most of the wait staff on the islands are poorly or untrained about quality customer service.
TIP stands for (To insure promptness) not( the ignorant person) in my section

service here lacks but not just from locals. people who move here and end up in the service industry suck too. they do offer customer service seminars that certain businesses are encouraged to attend, no one pays attention afterwards.

If you come here with the "this is the way we do it back in the states" the service will only get worse. If you come at islanders with the ugly American attitude, you will hate it here. Tips that work for me 1) get the stress out of your voice. 2) Start with good morning afternoon evening etc. 3) Small talk and humor go along way. If you start out on the right foot service improves a lot.
