Thanks all. We found a perfect place, with not a good view... it’s THE view - Magen’s - out to peterborg and every down island with everything on my wish list - honestly can’t believe it and I was willing to settle for nothing on my list lol. I even got my vaulted ceilings and a HUGE covered deck! Our STX rental wasn’t covered and even with a sun sail it was too hot. I missed limin outside. We’re pretty much gonna live out on this deck. Can’t wait to see the whales this year and send the drone out to them! Found our apt in 48hrs. I am a firm believer that when it’s meant to be, it will be easy and STT has always been easy for me. STX was just a constant struggle for us, it is a great place but just not where I belonged.
We have been seeing so many old friends, big hugs and excitement that we’re back. Even the guys at Coki did a double take and came over to say wassup. My good friends Frank and Amy opened high dive bar, make sure you get there - great place! Love them and it looks like a lot of my hull crew is now hanging there. Someone PM me the skinny on Hull, curious. Was devistated to not get to hug Jr. RIP, such a sweet man. We always hung out at his truck before my night snorkels and had great chats.
Loving the views, the hills, feeing like I’m actually on an island, the new restraunts (and my old favs) and most of all how close everything is!!! I know in a year CA will be “far” again but that drive to Csted really sucked! Only took me 11 min from home to Havensight yesterday. Was awesome!
We finally got the generator hooked up last night. Hadn’t had it in 6 days including two in STX since it had to go on the boat. That was roughing it, we stank. There’s a BEAUTUFIL clear waterfall by creque damn that we rinsed off in and we live by the spring on STT so used that for a quick showers Now getting settled, painting and unpacking. Missed this damn rock so much. I.AM.HOME. <3
Did my first tour yesterday too! Was a blast and took this photo. This beauty was at least a foot across, and the biggest moon jelly I’ve ever seen, it was like the ocean welcoming me back.
