any beaches on the island where one can sunbath without clothing ?

Hello Chuck,

Nude sunbathing at beaches in the USVI is illegal. So no nude nor top less beaches. Swimwear however full or skimpy in coverage is required.

Another option if you were going for the no-tan-line -look would be tan-through swimwear.

I've seen topless sun bathers at Carambola a few times off to the far left, but, that was a few years ago.

No one seemed to mind...I certainly appreciated it.

There is Jacks & Issacs out in the east end, that's where my teenage kids always went.

Rent a house with a pool and enjoy in privacy.

Keep the swimsuits on in public.
