Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have any information on that beautiful contemporary yacht that was in STT Harbor this past week. I can't stop thinking about her. Over one hundred feet long plum bow with mirror windows down her sides... flat roof with extra long foreward deck. She was anchored in the harbour. May of been flying a British Flag... some of the most beautiful boats in the world come here... how kool is that!

Many thanks

I'm guessing you're talking about Steve Jobs's yacht was here last week. Was odd looking but I wish I could see the inside. Wowzas.

Sounds like "VENUS" built for Steve Jobs -- it was anchored in Charlotte Amalie this week.

Boomerang: Thanks! I believe that was the yacht anchored off Providence Point,Water Island last night. Had the sailboat and powerboat out there, too (toys).

P.S. That marine traffic site is interesting, but doesn't seem to have many of the boats that are actually out there. What gives?

AIS system will only report on the vessels that have their trnsmitter turned on - [not required when anchored or docked]

That is not a "beautiful yacht".

NoOne responded --- "THat is not a beautiful Yacht"

I have always loved the older wooden schooners and classic lines of the earlier days of yachting -- but everyone has their own understanding of beauty -- I felt that 'VENUS' was the vessel the OP was asking about.

Here's the type of yachts/sailing ships I like. Lots of work tho!

The Bluenose was in the VI, possibly late 60's, early 70's?
Anyone remember her?

The original schooner Bluenose seen in that famous race in the youtube video was lost in 1946 -- the vessel Bluenose II may have been here and she still participates in many Tall Ship events.

Thanks everyone for your responce..

The Yacht I saw was the VENUS thanks for that info it was driving me crazy... "beauty is in the eye of the beholder!" The Form and Scale of that Yacht was spot on. I feel it made a real statement... and a reflection of Steve Jobs....... Many thanks for making my day!
