BroadbandVI is still limiting residential incoming bandwidth to ~7.93Mb/s and outgoing @2.04Mb/s according to their Mikrotik routerOS. I was under the impression this was supposed to increase dramatically this spring?

I wish! I have the $99/mo service plus $5/mo for a static ip address and I hardly ever get over 5Mbps down and 2Mbps up. I had much better service two years ago.

How does that compare to stateside pricing for comparable service?

I have TWC beaten down to $35/mo for "Extreme Internet" at my house in NC but that's with standard TV and long time customer clout. Get around 15Mbps down and 3Mbps up, don't have any issues with it streaming movies, etc. Wish I could get that with BBVI. My BBVI speeds are fine too but for double the price.
