Just what the title says. Is it just me, or is anyone else experiencing terrible latency/lag/slowness.

I have noticed it too, it's fine for a while, and then suddenly sloooow.
We have the $49,95 plan in Princesse area.

Cotton Valley STX. $49.95 'Residential Broadband'.

Yeah, it's been atrocious lately. I suspect the fiddling about in C'sted has a lot to do with it.

Bob, you just showed a 1.63Mbps download, you pay for 1.5Mbps, with 16ms latency to STT.
I hope you are being sarcastic about "atrocious".

We have increased everyone's speeds again. Residential and Business. Bob, Don and Dixie, if you are having issues, please call the office at 719-2943, or email stxsupport@broadband.vi and we'll get it straightened out. (774-5780 for STT, sttsupport@broadband.vi....and St. Johnian's just track down Tory in his black FJ Cruiser).

Mine keeps fluctuating (mid-island north shore STX). One minute it's 6.5 download, 2.0 up, a few minutes later it's 2.5 down and .45 up.

Broadband has been very responsive to my questions, by the way. I'm very happy with that aspect. I just wish we could find a way to keep speeds more consistent (which may be too much to ask from a technical standpoint given the challenges with the islands in general).

I'm very happy with Broadband VI. They are very responsive when I have an occasional problem.

I was surprised to clock such fast download speed today. I ran the speed test three times in the last hour and got the same speeds each time. I'm in Salt River, STX.

Thanks Bob, unfortunately those speeds will be scaled back soon.
We found a bug in our queueing / speed limiting program, which is leading to some of the issues people are seeing on this thread.
I got a 22Mbps speed test to Miami at a friends house over the weekend.....and he still found a way to give me grief that his upload was only 2Mbps 😉

Speed test shows mine around 10 mbps, however I still can't stream a low-quality 1:00 youtube video without it stopping to load every few seconds. (td)

There was a problem with the feed from PR last night, it was fixed around 10pm.
Should be good now.

Appearently not as I am only getting 0.4mbps download and 0.31mbps upload while paying $99.95 for the BBVI service.
Usually the speed is good but not lately.

Have you contacted the office so we can take a look?
Again, anonymous message board posts won't get it fixed.
