Did anyone ship a fairly new car that lender allowed them to take to the islands?

That's all dependent on the lien holder but the answer is usually no.

I did. Loan at credit union. Not a problem.

Just make sure you have several originals of paperwork including the release from from lender.

My vehicle is being shipped on the 18th and the Lien holder has provided a letter permitting me to take the vehicle to the VI's as well as providing me with a copy of the title. I am using an agent to handle customs and the registration process. (Ferrol Trucking)

My daughter hit the jackpot, I'm giving her my car with the payments still due, with the understanding I can use it when stateside. I'm bringing her 2008 Hyundai Accent. Just making sure the brakes and transmission are in perfect working order. (everything else too, but especially those.) LOL
