Any scuttlebutt on which cell companies & handsets are working best in the aftermath? Mine is pitiful & customer service at ATT tortured me til I lost my connection.

We have both ATT (for a month) and Sprint (12 years) on STX and there is absolutely no comparison in service. Sprint is as worthless as ever with texting and calls possible only when roaming for my wife for the most part while ATT works island wide for me for calls, texts, emails, and internet. There are certainly a few dead zones for ATT but really very minimal compared to what I endured with Sprint for way too many years.

We have att and haven't had any issues. I know someone who had an older phone with service through att and had issues. Got a new phone and everything is good

I too have had to ditch Sprint after 12 years (STJ). Still working on getting it switched over to ATT, and the process has been anything but easy, but my husband's line is now on ATT and it is much better. Sprint is so bad that I haven't had but seconds of cellular data at a time and both of our devices spontaneously deactivated and we lost pretty much everything because the backups failed. I'm not impressed with ATT customer service at all, but being able to communicate is pretty important in my line of work and am relying on cellular since there is no landlines.

"Viya, the longstanding Virgin Islands communications and entertainment company which endured a battering during Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and has been working feverishly to reconnect its Internet, cable and cellular phone customers, said late Wednesday that it will launch its long-awaited 4G LTE network on Monday, which the company says will eclipse competitors Sprint and AT&T."

VIYA SAYS AT&T AND SPRINT 'WON'T BE ABLE TO KEEP UP' WITH ITS 4G LTE NETWORK SET TO LAUNCH MONDAY
