I've gotten the wrong thing from them. They forgot my pad thai once. Their food isn't good, but it's never been bad for me.

A few years ago when it was called something else I found plastic in my soup. Never been back.

Edit to add: If they would have acted like they cared I would have given them another chance. I was stopping in weekly for lunch and it was usually pretty good. When I showed them the plastic wrap in my soup they didn't even apologize. The waitress went and told the owners but they failed to come to my table, and when I approached them at the cash register about it they just shrugged. (td):S Good way to lose customers. I think it's had 3 or 4 name changes but suspect it's the same family. Anyone know?

It's absolutely beautiful inside, I'll say that. The dining room and the bar anyway. That buffet freaks me out.

Galangal is in downtown Christiansted. Where Pizza Hut used to be. It's not new. Been there 3 years.

In the 10 years I've been here, I ate at China Panada only once.

That was enough for me.

loved the place when it first opened. had great food a great selection and the spice factor was good too. probably could still use a bit more heat.

over the years and owners it has gone downhill. smaller portions for more money. the menu not as nice. options have gone down.

i have never gotten sick from them but it has been a while since we were there.

my hubby did get sick at rum runners from bad shrimp a few years ago though.

I take it the Health Department of USVI does not post restaurant inspection scores.

They would have to know how to add to come up with a score.

Went to china panda yesterday. Under new ownership, or should I say the mother has taken it back from the brother who did not run it very well. Food was pretty good and staff could not have been more accommodating. May want to give them another chance.

Not taking credit cards yet but ARE giving a 20% discount. That's pretty good too.

Yes it better than it was, veggie fried rice was ok and the stir fry veggies weren't greasy and over cooked, and the friendly vibe was evident. All in all they met my criteria for my 6 dollar or under lunch, so far so good.

I used to get their soup every so often but Galangal is my favorite - they used to have an early bird special, not sure if they still do.

Found better Chinese on STT. We've been having take-out way too often.
