Is it just me or does the constant laughing and sexual innuendos by the hosts irritate you too?

I don't know that irritate would be the right word. I don't find it particularly entertaining or informative, and I often just turn it off. Of course, I don't listen often anyway, only when I happen to be in the car during the morning show hours, which isn't often.

I work at home and listen to the morning talk show occasionally because I miss the old Free Speech and, yeah, I'll confess to flat out changing the channel on more than one occasion.

The incessant rambling is annoying. What was the purpose of the host bringing her daughter on to talk about her latin men fetish? When I moved here in Feb 2010 i listened to the show to come up to speed on happenings and concerns politically, socially, and economically in the V.I. but lately its been a waste of time for me. I live in Fortuna, St Thomas so I cant get normal radio reception so i listen to the stream on TUNE IN Radio on my iphone.

Granted , they do bring in Senators and the Governors but there is no host to ask them the "hard" questions. Its all softball questions.

Do I blame the hosts? or the program director for this uninteresting content?

I agree--it's a total waste of time; can't understand why the program director hasn't made changes.

I can listen about 5 minutes them change the station

i do the same. listen (or try to anyway) and all they are doing is laughing. its great for their sense of humor but i do want to hear a complete sentence without all the jokes and total laughing. gets annoying.
i switch it off and listen to a country CD

And Paul Morgan (I think that's his name) An annoying person with a terrible radio voice. As soon as he speaks I change the station. And I won't go back for the rest of the morning. (td)

And what about Mongoose? Friday I heard the same song twice in one day. Today (Saturday) I'd swear they were playing the same sets they played yesterday. Or the past three years for that matter.

Not only do they need to add new material to their playlists. They really need to dump some of those lame station IDs and fillers. Some of that stuff has to be 2-3 years old. Talk about stale. (td)

Paul Morgan sounds drunk, very annoying.

One person owns all the stations so he has a captive audience. It seems thay play the same songs at the same time every day.

Didn't we finally get an NPR station here? Where is it? I can never seem to find it on the dial.

Thanks. I can just BARELY pick up the signal in downtown C'sted where I live and work. Shame. Do they broadcast over the internet? My wi-fi is half-decent.

I don't see a "listen" link on their web site: http://www.wvgn.org/underwriting.htm

I would think C'sted gets decent reception, since there's not much to block the signal between there and STT. Driving around STX, I've noticed poor reception if there's a hill in the way, but it seems fine on the north shore, even at sea level.

You can also listen online to other NPR stations, since the national content is similar. For example: http://whyy.org/

Or go to http://www.npr.org/ and listen to re-broadcasts. It's a good way to catch Fresh Air at your leisure.

Kim Jones and her guests were especially obnoxious today; I lasted through the first 7 minutes.
They were making all kinds of stupid jokes about the shooting by Elana Christian school.

107.3 is the NPR station. The only annoying thing about them (to me) is they play commercials at twice the volume as the rest of their programming.

Alvin Gee is now on Da Vybe WLDV 107.9 FM. Here is a recent article about him: http://stcroixsource.com/content/news/local-news/2011/01/03/profile-alvin-gee
Interesting note: His real name is Alvin Southwell
