I thought any divers might enjoy seeing this video of a dolphin that joined us over Thanksgiving at Northstar. I've been diving since '90, many many dives as I'm an instructor (now non-teaching) and I've never had the wonderful experience of a wild dolphin joining the group while underwater! Very special and wonderful....

I hope the link works

So cool. I've had dolphins approach on the surface and reef sharks come by underwater but not dolphins under water.

Where is Morning Star site?

just west of Cane Bay. When you see a house right on the water that's being re-done as you make the sharp right curve (where all the vines hang down into the road), that's it. West of Willy's Wish too. You can do it as a shore dive but this was a boat dive with Cane Bay.

I've surfed with them. They were jumping out if the faces of the waves we were riding. Very cool experience. Beautiful creatures.

I've been fortunate to swim with them in the wild off of Kakiura, NZ and in ocean during boat deliveries to various places.
They are beautiful, amazing, sentient creatures and we need to protect them.

Thanks for sharing.

Keep them free and wild in the oceans.
Don't buy a ticket to SeaWorld.

Gorgeous. My wife and I were lucky enough to have an encounter with 5 or so at Buck Island(turtle beach) a few years ago. Sadly I didn't have a camera then. 3 of them stayed a bit away but 2 were basically playing with us and it lasted over half an hour.
