Have ate three times at Castaways, the old Top Side/Chicken Charlie's .
The pizza was very good. A friend had the ribs and liked them.
Prices seem very reasonable.

Galangal. It isn't even a contest. Walking in there is like walking through a wormhole to a lovely, normal place.

I ate at Castaways tonight. Very disappointing. I tried the Train Wreck Burger. It took over an hour to get the burger. The only excuse offered was that this is their most complicated burger.

When the burger finally arrived it was very disappointing for a $16 burger. The patty was small and over cooked. The egg looked like it had been cooked in very dirty grease and was very greasy. The "slice of ham" turned our to be a few sprinkles of small cubed ham that had been prepared for salads. All in all a very disappointing dining experience.

yea... tried castaways 2 times for pizza

both times way under cooked and took forever to get

was a long time to get a drink as well, bartender seemed overwhelmed with all that was going on which wasn't that much as far as i could tell

good bartender will keep his head on a swivel to keep everything in check

also was over charged on 1 of my visits but they took care of it when i brought it to their attention

maybe they just working out the bugs being a new place

We eat out quite often and last week we tried Castaways with friends. Always look forward to a new business and a new restaurant to try, and hoping that it will be interesting.

It wasn't nor was the food, menu selection or service. Won''t last if they don't get their act together. .

Our continued favorite is Bombay Club...always great food, good selection and reasonable prices.

Our favorite for special occasions, going back into the early 1990's, has always been The Bombay Club.

A while back there was a poster who was moving here and opening a place on STX where he promised the best BBQ and entertainment that the island had ever seen. He posted for a while, came down here, the place opened and then little was heard of it. Cliff something, or was that his name? Just curious as he was posting just about every day for several months. Is he/his place still there on STX?

If it's Above the Cliff on North Shore, it's a cool place. They have some live entertainment and I think the foods okay (I've only have the nachos which I love because they put everything on each individual chip :D). It's more of a late night joint than a restaurant.

His screenname was chockman before he (Chris) changed it to Above The Cliff.
