Any suggestions BESIDES tickles?? Their food is not good at all, I've given them 4 chances.

We go to barefoot sometimes but I want like eggs and bacon or a country fried steak or something similar. Oh how I wish we had a Cracker Barrel lol!

What about Delly Deck in havensight? (next to Chinese restaurant) Are they doing breakfast?
There's a place in Frenchtown near Hook, Line and Sinker but cannot remember the name.
Too bad about Tickles. How hard can it be to make bacon and eggs?

Oh it's been soooo gross Alana. I sent my food back TWICE the last time we went. Was country fried steak that I couldn't even use a steak knife on and it was some weird taste. I wanted to like their food because it seems the only "breakfast" joint but I just can't.

Not to mention that I "suspect" that the busser stole my cell phone off the table (can't confirm) and the management did nothing to help - in fact that could have cared less, hell I never even got a call back from the owner after leaving numerous messages .

I thought deli deck was just sandwiches - their websites shows breakfast so were gonna go give it a try. THANKS!

Good on-the-go breakfast before work: Island Cafe at Kmart behind Omax.

Decent sit-down breakfast before work: Bumpa's on the waterfront. I work next door and many people here eat there every day.

I haven't gone out to Bleuwater at the Ritz for breakfast but several people have told me it was the best breakfast they've had in years. Maybe check that out tomorrow.

Delly Deck has breakfast - no country fried steak, though on breakfast menu but maybe on dinner. You can order dinner for breakfast if you want.

Frenchtown Deli has breakfast.

Petite Pump Room has breakfast, but small portions.

Windward Passage has breakfast, but expensive.

The hotels at Emerald Beach have breakfast.

None are great, but ok, imo.

I never ever send food back. If it's really gross I'll leave and go some where else. I'm afraid some one will send it back to me with "special sauce".

I liked Tickles' Sunday Brunch. I thought the food was good. I never had any major problems on Sundays.
I never went there during the week for breakfast.
I wonder if they have different cooks during the week and then on weekends?
Also, it has been a while I've been to Tickles.
They used to have high employee turnover rate. I don't know if they still have that problem.

I once had their chicken fried steak for dinner when I had visitors and I thought it came frozen and all they did was defrost it, and heat it up it in the microwave. Also, the salad I ordered was straight out of the bag, not hand made. I was disappointed in their dinners, lunches, and sometimes their service in the past when I took visitors with me.

Like I said it has be a while since I've been there for any service.

Fish Tails and Molly Malones have breakfast. Maybe someone can chime in on their experience.

Oh for Crazy Cow! Anything you wanted, any time of day into the wee hours and it was always good.
Have you tried Sib's for Chicken Fried Steak (dinner only).
Theirs was pretty good but haven't been there in awhile either.
What about Secret Harbor for breakfast?
They must serve as have hotel guests?

My two cents:
We had breakfast at Life's a Breeze, at Bluebeards (downtown, not the beach club). Surprisingly good.
Heard that Mafolie Hotel was under new management (thank goodness), and they are serving a brunch. Haven't tried it, but have heard good things.
And Fresh Bistro at Yacht Haven Grande is open, but don't know their Sunday hours.

Oh I haven't! Sibs Chicken fried steak, I bet its AWESOME.

We went to Deli Deck. Was pretty good, defiantly better than tickels and decent priced - I got the $10 "best value" breakfast which was bacon (4) two eggs toast and home fries. They made my bacon super crispy which I asked for and most restaurants don't do. Poor guy serving was all alone so he got a pass from me on making me wait 20 min for my bloody marry... which had about a teaspoon of horseradish in it lol. Good thing I love horseradish lol.

Ive also heard about Bumpas - I want to try it soon too. While at breakfast I grabbed the VI This Week and we decided to use that list of restaurants in there and go to a new one every week for our date night. Should be fun.

Cariga's is probably the best value on St Thomas, no matter what meal.(tu)
Fish Tails has great "bennies" (benedicts). Bottomless Mimosas and Bloodies...:-o
Delly Deck for egg white omelets! 😎
I haven't been to Molly Malone's since they raised their prices, but I seem to remember they had chicken-fried chicken and steak?8-)

P.S. When are the emoticons coming back?:S

I've tried Bumpa's several times over the years and always regretted it. Home fries bland. Prices high for outside.only self serve. No warm and friendly service. It's like a NY deli with lesser quality and higher prices and you have to climb stairs and sit outside.

Only if you're desperate and waiting for a ferry.

When high season is over, they have a booklet with coupons for 2 for one specials at various and sundry bars and restaurants.
Cost $30 for the booklet. Of course right at this moment, I cannot remember exactly who puts it out but $ goes to a good cause
and will be available at a couple outlets. I used to get mine from Home Again but don't know since ownership has changed.
That should work for you and your BF.

Frenchtown Deli is good, if you like standing around for 45 minutes waiting for a to-go breakfast order.

Rotary East puts it out. Not available until around May through early December.

I''m glad you mentioned Frenchtown Deli is slow. I thought I was being impatient, since I had never really timed them. They're slow for eat in, too.

I had the Dominican style saltfish and boiled eggs at Snow White the new little place at Tillitt Garden a couple of weeks ago. It is a standard Sunday Dominican type brealfast. It was great. Everything I have had there is great, all real food. The place is small with guys playing dominos in front, but you could get it to go and eat in the garden.

Have heard good things about Mafolie's new Sunday brunch + I Know you don't have kids - but for those who do, apparently they've set up a kids play area.

That ain't why I'm fat, it's because I eat to much whether I go out or stay in and cook myself. Like Weight Watchers promotes, "If you want a little Behind, leave a little Behind".
