Just wanted to say Hello.

I have been lurking on this board for the past few months.
Finally signed up and feel willing and able to add to the discussions.

My wife and I have traveled extensively around the world and have decided that we will be moving to VI in ~3yrs (need to be in the Caribbean and on US soil). Presently, we live in Charleston, SC. where I am a horticulturalist/arborist/instructor and she works in marketing.

We are coming down for a visit to STT in April, staying with friends.

We both get very excited when thinking about our future life change and the coming attractions. I will probably have many questions over the next few yrs as the moving day approaches.

Hi Treeman!

My husband and I are just about to close on our home on STT after years of planning and visiting and waiting (we're in NYC, currently awaiting big snow). We are so excited! We've visited almost every island in the Carib, but STT owns us, heart and soul. Good luck in your planning and dreaming!

Being a horticulturist/arborist..please consider visiting St Croix as an option.

We are also planning a move in the next few years. My husband is an arborist as well! Have any insight on arborist jobs in the USVI?

not gonna lie...I adore the snow, and today was absolutely beautiful in NYC...That said, when it turns into a dirty, slushy mess by Monday, I'll be looking forward to my upcoming trip to STT 🙂

The only bad thing is also a good thing depending on how you feel about it, but April is Carnival month and a lot of places especially government offices are closed during portions of the month of April for those activities. But if you wish to partake of the Carnival events then the disruption shouldn't bother you any. But the down town area will be busy for sure.
