I want to efile my taxes, but don't have Internet at home. Anybody know where I can take my laptop, plug it in to charge, and use high speed Internet? Hopefully somewhere in Red Hook STT....

You won't be able to eFile a federal return with a non-mainland address. (Obviously you can't file online with the VIIRB at all, either.) I just had to mail my return snail mail! You can still choose the direct-deposit method, IF you have a mainland bank.

Actually, I believe you can use any bank which has a valid ABA number and account number. That would include all of the banks on island.
Make sure you use certified mail return receipt to get proof of filing if using snail mail.

If you are filing a non-resident return with the IRS I think you can efile - at least I know I did last year using TaxCut (which is now called H&R Block At Home.) I just had to find the appropriate VI forms in the software related to residency tests and complete them and I sent them in with my regular return. I had my refund deposited in my account (BOA) about 10 calendar days later. I dread the day I'm going to have to file a paper copy locally...
