I think this has been discussed in the past, but I can't find it. Does anyone know of a source for local eggs? From listening to this latest food scare, I've learned just how old the imported eggs are and I'm pretty surprised. Went to the fridge and found that my eggs came from the same "factory" in Iowa as the tainted eggs. I hope there is better way. Thanks.

Where did you buy them, Linda? I'd be interested to find out why anyone would be sourcing eggs from so far north.
I work at a food distributor on island and we sell eggs to hotels and restaurants. Webster came through and verified that our eggs were good to go and we got the thumbs up.

You can also order them from the farmer's market at VI locally grown

Noah, I got them at Plaza East, maybe 3 weeks ago. It was an 18 pack, Hillendale Farms, New Hampton, Iowa. I was surprised too. I don't know if the serial numbers were the same, I only had 3 left and I just pitched them.
I'll try Princess on Thursday.

Interesting concept - ordering from the farm. I just checked and 6 eggs are $3.00
