So if someone asked where they could go eat for "local" food, what would you tell them?

That's Harvey's, and indeed, it is really good Crucian fare.

I like Singh's and Harvey's, Christiansted. Singh's is on King Street and Harvey's on street over on Company Street.

Don't forget Kim's, a couple of blocks closer to the water from Harvey's. Also in F'sted there is Rose's Dream Cuisine.

Kim's and Singhs as far as recommendation for food Not So Much. Some of the locals really are heavy handed with the salt also. For those of us minding our blood pressure.
