Sundays it gets too crowded so haven't had their sancocho, but love everything I have tried at Rancho. Rancho is better than Jibarito in Old San Juan that everybody raves about. The sancocho at Karen's Place in town across from courthouse is excellent!

I think Rancho Latino is better than the new Spanish place in Nisky that my friend loves. The new place is next door to the old place at Nisky but cooks to order instead of buffet food.

A mofongo taste test is next on my list. 🙂

Ok. First grounds were beautiful. No flooding of any kind, no standing water anywhere. Restaurant was very cold a/c. Drinks were 9-12 dollars. Beers were all at least $6.00. Meh. We got the lava lava shrimp appetizer.. Was decent sized. $13. We ordered all sandwiches and one kids meal.everything was good. Arrived at a reasonable time. They did comp a drink for us because one of the two toddlers was acting out so we took them outside and security yelled at us that we weren't allowed out there. The bathrooms are outside so that was weird. The manger was nice came over and explained that they had issues with restaurant guests using pool etc. we didn't ask for anything free. I figured it was just working out kinks. So for an appetizer, 2 alcoholic drinks (one comped), 2 soft drinks, 4 sandwiches and a kid's meal the bill was $99. I think it's a pretty fair price. They had live music outside as well but kids were getting crabby so we only watched a few minutes. We will probably go back and I think this place will succeed.

Sandwiches at dinner? No other options? Who performed the live music? What makes it different from other restaurants?

Thanks for your review!

Anything interesting on the menu?
Price range for dinner selections?
I found it odd there were sandwiches for dinner. What kind were they?

Burgers. Actually. And a grouper sandwich. They had other options. We were all just feeling like burger/sandwich and fries. I'm not sure the name of the band. They did covers, and not Jimmy Buffet covers. I think this place will last because people seem to love timeshares. The restaurant may not be frequented by people who live here forever, the novelty will wear off, but the guests there will keep it afloat

The menu is like every other Margaritaville menu. The restaurant looks like the one in the San Juan airport save the airplane theme.

People who lived here in the Renaissance days are going to be upset because the timeshare doesn't want riff-raff locals in their pool. I don't really blame them. The right to beach access doesn't extend to the pool, but folks are more and more adamant that they should get whatever they want....

I was there this past weekend.

I tried to reserve for dinner on Friday, but they were at capacity.

We did get a reservation for Saturday night. Nine of us had dinner at their restaurant.

The property is beautiful! They did a great job renovating the resort.

I arrived about 30 minutes early and walked around the resort. I was very impressed.

The food was very good, but we waited about an hour and a half for the food to be served. There were only about 7 to 8 tables occupied at the time. I guess the staff is still on a learning curve.

The drinks were good, too.

Prices are very reasonable. I had the Jambalaya for $18.95. The menu is basically a "Margaritaville" menu.

The beach is being cleared of seaweed daily and looks inviting.

I think Margaritaville will be a big success!

I will return to their restaurant again.

F.I.
