Not only that, but your probably paying overtime and these officers will be taken off their normal duties of enforcing the laws. Yes, I know they don't enforce much, but this could lead to morale issues, staffing issues and such. Plus I'm sure they make a better salary than just the security detail employee.

A long time ago there was a ruler in an island land who called himself King Mopp. Once upon a time the commoners of this land learned that King Mopp had concealed news that one of his jesters was found dead face down in a pile of pixie dust. This revelation came after another of King Mopp's jesters was detained under guard with an abundance of pixie dust that he was taking with him to distribute to associates in the land of the greater Republic. This jester also had in his possession a huge number of clams that he claimed came from selling his steed and a pony.

Now everyone in King Mopp's land knew that pixie dust is illegal, not just locally but also under the laws of the greater Republic. How then was it conceivable that the news of a Jester found dead in a pile of pixie dust was not made public, especially for investigation by the Republics PEA (Pixie dust Enforcement Agency). Deceiving the public to this extent was surely subject to some court inquiry? Yet King Mopp's tight reign over his court overrode the commoners sense. The people of the island realm simply shook their collective heads knowing that Mopp favored Court Generalissimo Cea Wanker would do nothing to oppose his beloved King. It had taken King Mopp several attempts to find a Generalissimo that would grant him favored status and his choice certainly was earning his clams. Mopp's control of his Court was echoed with the absurd dismissal of another claim for clams, which conferred King Mopp with the power to besmirch any commoner with impunity, as long as it occurred in the commission of his duties.

And the people of the Island land gave another collective sigh, looking forward to the coming bacchanal of the court selection process, and the possible re-emergence of Princess Chookie. And while there was some question over her true title, the Generalissimo had directed the court to ignore legal protests to ensure her inclusion on the slate.

Stay tuned for the next episode of King Mopp's Island Land, in which it is categorically denied that the dead jester was possibly wearing a blue dress.

Drug testing is a waste of resources as Florida and Arizona found out after passing laws to make drug testing mandatory for people who receive State aid

Naive operation - if you are going to use the ' not my bag defense' - the drug carrier has only women's clothes in the drug bag, a second person carries the identical bag with the mules clothes in it - all the way through the trip,- and abandons it in a conspicuous place if things go wrong so it will be found and bolster the wrong bag alibi enough for reasonable doubt and a third person is used to split the cash into 3 ways all less than $10K packages. Everyone books separately and has no interaction - 3 airfares is a small investment on a 21 kilos transfer.

I was thinking more along the lines for mandatory drug testing for security details, police, our elected and appointed officials. One and all.

King Mopp would never approve subjecting his court to mandatory testing. Besides we all suspect that a certain Round Table member's result would most certainly match his middle name - Positive.

Hey, at least he made it a LEGAL NAME!

All seriousness aside, given the rampant crime and abuse of power, there should be mandatory testing.
One would wonder why it's not already policy and why there would be any objections to such.
Let's clean this place up!

Start from the top down.
One wonders why was the information not forthcoming about the officer, found dead, face down, in cocaine "several months ago" according to Mapp, deliberately withheld from the public until now?

I don't think anyone should be tested for drugs. Period. So it isn't SJW'ing. I believe in freedom and liberty. For everyone.

Again, the silly drug testing law requiring those getting State aid rules revealed how useless and non cost effective these tests are. This has nothing to do with being a SJW. It has everything to.do with not wasting resources.

Come on, Sparty, that's plain daft if it's not tongue in cheek.

First off, drug tests are easily beaten. I watched my sister beat them time and time again. Second, the value (monetarily) isn't there. The expenses outweigh savings. Third, it is an invasion of privacy that I'm not comfortable with.

Yes because passing a drug test one day you ensures drugs will need never be used. Yeah. I'm the idiot. What a f@cknozzle. If you think I don't check drug interactions myself for anything I'm prescribed well I guess I'm not the only idiot.

Let me say it again SLOWLY. Drug testing from government employees, not testing for welfare recipients.

I never addressed welfare recipients. I only advocated testing government employees. i don't see the relationship.
