Good Day!
Could anyone who has moved from the mainland to STT advise me on the approximate moving cost of relocating a 1-2 bedroom apartment from Richmond, Va.? I contacted Allied Van Lines and they were no help at all. I would just like a ballpark figure to plug into my relocation budget. Am I looking at $2000, or $20,000 ? Anything would be helpful!
Thanks!

My experience -- 20' container with overland trucking from Houston to Florida, then shipping (boat) to STX 6 years ago was approx. $6000.00. We used Crowley. They only took a credit card, paid in advance. Don't know what they are charging now.

We shipped a 40' container from Michigan, through Canada to St. Johns, Nova Scotia, then to Miami and onward to the Grenadines for about $6000 USD in Oct. 2006. We loaded it, contracted the shipper and unloaded it at the destination.

Most to many places here are furnished or mostly so. It can be a huge waste of money to ship, when most people go back in a year or two. Shipping a car can go either way.
