You might be able to call the around to the taxi companies listed in the phone book/yellow pages to see if they can provide you service.
Be sure to then call whomever you chose the day before and morning of your flight to remind them of your pick-up time, location and destination. Good luck.

John @ Cruzan Taxi. I've used him for years. 422-1856.

Good Day All! Do taxis sit at the airport that you can just hop in to your destination like here in the states? Or will I need to make arrangements prior

Taxis are located at our airports and ferry docks in Red Hook and in Cruz Bay, STJ. However they pile up everyone that can fit in the taxi van and then drop everyone off at their different destinations and don't like to accept pets.

You can rent a car at the airports as well but reserve in advance.

Good Afternoon, Thank you for the Info. Are they lined up at STX as well? I wasnt planning on renting a car right away, maybe after 2 days of being on Island. Id rather walk or take taxis. Is it hard to find car rentals while Im there? Id rather wait... kinda just go with the flow at first then rent a car. Jezz

just wondering where you are staying? taxis do line up at the airport on stx also.

if you are not staying close to town, might be a bit hard to walk to places

Renting a Condo by Northside Rd. "Condo Row" by Christiansted. Are there any places to rent scooters?

Don't rent a scooter if you value your skin and life. I'm sure STX roads may not be as challenging as ours in STT and STJ but pretty sure you all have the same pothole issues and demented drivers who pay no attention to which side of the road or what their doing while driving.

I've been riding motorcycles on STX legally since I was 15 and never had an accident that was another drivers fault. If you are a good rider, you'll do fine.

our roads are ( from what i hear from people who go back and forth ) worse than stt. i thought there was a place downtown near the boardwalk-i could be wrong. condo row is about a mile or so from town-you are talking where mill harbor is right? if you stick to the main road you should be able to get a bus or taxi. if you dont stick to the main road there are questionable areas you might want to avoid.

Is this question for real? I fear we all may be doomed if so. Sorry if that's harsh but I believe this falls under the common sense category. Yikes.

Plenty of people ride motorcycles and scooters everyday on STX and live to tell the tale.

Thanks All, I agree as long as your a defensive driver, very aware & alert of your surroundings you can be fine. You cant control what other people do but you can control your own driving. Dont drive like a maniac 😎
