Anyone have a dog crate for a small - but too big to fit under the airline seat - dog?

I have lots of crates all sizes from cats to great danes, but it would probably cost more to send than just to buy. Look at Kmart, up on the top shelf usually, by the dog food. They are around $20 here in CA.

If you are in STT try Blue Ice - the pet store near the police department in Four Winds. They have all sizes.

Sorry.
On St. John.
Hoping to get a used one to save on some costs.

We are looking at relocating to St Thomas and have 2 small dogs and a cat. My wife did some research and found that there are specific guidelines that the airlines require for pet crates...something about sturdiness. I'm not sure what the exact requirements are but I recommend calling the airline and not just buying one. We have had crates for years and now we have 3 more! You might have an unexpected emergency to learn that the airline will not accept your crate! Happy travels.

Not sure which airline you are flying, but when we brought our dog down from FL, I went to Delta Airlines air cargo and purchased the carrier directly from them. This way they could not say that the carrier did not conform. Didn't really want to be dealing with that headache (on top of the usual moving stress) when the flight departed at 4:45am! Good luck with your move.

Have you tried posting an ad at Connections? Some crates were available at the vet's office in Greenleaf Commons but Connections is your best bet for a used one.
