Have been told that the sale did happen, and that there are new owners and a new manager at The Palms hotel. Anyone know any specifics? We have a friend who was thinking about having an event, but don't know what to tell her now.

Sale did close. Have them call and talk to the GM.

I hear they are replacing the majority of the staff including the GM so I guess you would speak with the owner

I hope their food quality stays intact. When we winter on STX, The Palms @ Pelican Cove is close to our condo so we liked to go there on a regular basis for a late afternoon cocktail & order food off the "bar menu".

Our condo is next door. We'll have to check out the food next time we are there. Not sure if we've heard anything yet from the new owners but I expect we will at some point.
