We heard that there is a new restaurant that has opened at Cheney Bay...I think it is called Spinnakers?

Has anyone tried it yet?

we went to the restaurant that was there years ago and everything was horrible from the food to the service and have never been back even under other owners.

and 14 bucks for a vegi burger is way too much even if they hand make it-which i doubt

The new restaurant/bar there is called Shoreline. We took guests there last week for lunch and it was delicious.

The new owners of the resort and the restaurant operator are trying hard to make a good impression.

I've heard nothing but good things so far.

Derek, formerly of the Brew Pub is the proprietor.
Went there this weekend for dinner. View is outstanding.
Had some Excellent short ribs, service was great.
We will be back.

My wife and I went there yesterday for a snack and a drink. We loved how they've rebuilt the bar area--much better use of the space, and the new furnishings look great. The only quibble I have with the bar is that they put the frozen drink machine on the seaside of the bar, so if you're the unfortunate one sitting across from it, that's your view (not to mention you get hit with a hot breeze every time the machine's fan kicks on).

We had the pumpkin coconut soup and the curry slaw. Both were delicious, and we plan to stop back again when we're ready to have a full dinner. Prices are definitely on the high side, but not unexpected for high-quality island food.

Went to Chili's in Florida this week, a burger is somewhere around $8-$12 depending on how its ordered....considering most everything is imported into the VI and all the other BS, that sounds about right if its good food. Island life is not cheap!

We had dinner Tuesday night at the new No Bones in GB and it was great.
Went back for lunch yesterday and it was also very good! Chuck and his staff are going a great job. We did not make a reservation but Chuck was able to 'squeeze' 4 of us in.

We are headed to the new Shoreline Restaurant at Cheney Bay on Saturday. Hope we have a similar experience. Will let you all know.

We had lunch at Shoreline about two weeks ago. It was great, a huge improvement compared to the old place.

Ordered Fish Tacos and Garden Salad w/ shaved goat cheese. Prices were pretty standard for STX but the taste and food presentation was way better than many similar priced places. We kept looking over at other people's tables cause the food coming out looked so good. Service was prompt and the waiter knew the menu well.

Only annoying part was the one bartender and his two buddies playing games at the bar. We originally sat down and ordered at the bar but the three of them were so ridiculously loud and obnoxious we had to move to a table just so we could keep a conversation.

Nevertheless we'll definitely be back to Shoreline.
