Good morning,

Let me start by saying I live on STT and I love visiting our neighboring islands, but I feel like everytime I ask someone what the best ____ on island to do is, the first thing they do is recommend the best place on some other island. I remember my very first day on island I asked a friend which beach should we go to and the first thing they said was let's get on the ferry and go to STJ to go to the beach. I laughed because I had literally just gotten to STT I wasn't ready to hop back off it so quick, haha.

So before everyone say Jost Van Dyke, I know, I have heard and it seems pretty awesome, BUT! Where are some of the best places to enjoy New Years Eve on STT?

Red hook is best but I saw that hull bay is having an event also. I assume tap and stilll wiill be a blast (havensite) along with Dog house pub having stuff going on but I think red hook will be your best bet. Jost is too far and a complete S-show with drunk people playing jenga with boats... on all holidays actually. I always worked on charters or did locals tours for holidays but after they got rid of Mic at soggy we stopped going. My friend firedances and did say last year at drink in STJ was a great time. I'm stoked to be ringing in the NY on my fav rock also!

Yacht haven grand is a good time also, DJ Cypher will be there and I love his mixes.

So many amazing beaches on STT also. Just as many as on STJ IMO. Better snorkeling too! Your friend just didn't know the scoop 😉 although I do love Maho!

All I know is I can't WAIT to have coffee at Buddha, a sub from PA, a bandito and house infused tequila at Greengos, BBQ at off the grid, steak at island view guesthouse, cocktails at Xo, oysters at fish tails, fish tacos at hull bay... I could go on and on!!! I'm gonna gain 10lbs. Ahhhh! :@)

A&A. By "sub from PA", do you mean a hoagie? If so, where?

Italian sub from pizza amoré lol. What's the difference between a sub and a hogie and grinder? Just the name/location right? Anyway it's one of my FAVORITE things to eat on STT. I always get two to bring back to STX.

Hull Bay is having live music starting at 8:00. Then stopping around 11:30 for the ball drop and then another band starts up until the wee hours.

Sub = any old meats, cheeses, fixins, and condiments on any old roll. Might be a hoagie, might not.

Hoagie = Ham, Capicola, Genoa and/or Soprassata salami, cheese (preferably Provolone, but never cheddar), lettuce, tomato, onion, sweet or hot peppers, and oil and oregano dressing, on an Amoroso-style roll.

I can make a perfect one, except that I can't find the right rolls on STX. Have a friend coming from St Thomas, which is why I wanted to know if the "sub from PA" was a hoagie, and where it was. I would have had one flown in.

Don't get me started on cheesesteaks.

Ha! We joke we can't even find the right rolls in North Carolina. Lot's of theories on that, some even claim it's the water.

PA was closed!!!!! Noooooooo!! 🙁

That's ok we tried SOS which is really good! They opened right after we moved and their bloody Mary's were exactly what I needed after red hook and hull bay for NYE. They make most of their own I gridents including bread and such and lots of fresh herbs. It's across from food town.

Had all my fav tings over there and surprised many friends in hull bay when we rolled in and spent one night on STJ with my besties. Forgot how amazing STJ beaches are! Our friends from stx who were flying home had their flight canceled from STT so we got to show them all the island. They too want to leave stx but I think now are gonna move to STT before they go stateside.

Lawd I LOVE STT!! It's just so fun over there and so much to do! Seemd way more clean than usual also! I saw hardly any trash and the dumpster sites looked great. Seems that the roads are better also???? Or have I just lived on mohagony rd too long lol.

You've lived on Mahogany Road, too long!
You also didn't see how our dumpsters looked before Christmas and after.
