im a experieced scuba diver who is going to be moving to the v.i. in a month(from ohio), i will be scuba diving almost every day when i get there(i absolutely in love with it,my freinds say its like a drug to me,im addicted), so i was just wondering if anyone is a major scuba diver there and would like to give me details on how the dive is there, maybe get together and go diving when i arrive, and the job oppurtunities for scuba-ing/instructor,teacher etc./im certified so its not gonna be a problem with not being experienced. Thanks

Which island? If St. Croix, check out SCUBA: http://www.stcroixscuba.com/

The friendliest dive shop on earth. I believe it!

Ask for Young Jon.

The diving here is awesome. There are a number of dive clubs that go out frequently and, more recently, "Lionfish Hunters" have become very active on the island. Once you arrive, send me a PM and I'll get you some phone numbers and links.

I was talking to 2 instructors from Cane Bay Dive shop this weekend - they seem to have some great rates for Locals and you can walk-in or go on a boat from there.
We've only gone with SCUBA since we moved here though.
