Dorothea and Caret Bay area are out, for a couple hours, now.
Anyone else?

It was trump, sending you a message to stop posting the same thing over and over about him... just messing here, I know we have some real sensitive people on this board. it was sarcasm, and not very good either.

I think it was a result of a huge power drain on WAPA. Think of all the cell phones that had to be recharged immediately following the protest march.

Have to laugh at such comments.

Actually it just came back on but curious as to actual reason it was out in so many areas for several hours and what other areas were affected.

I had to call Duke Energy to make sure my bills will now be sent to my FL address during the outage. I mentioned our WAPA rate and was delighted to hear mine will only be about 8¢ a KWh.

They were installing new power line along Crown Mt. Rd. in the Carat Bay/DOROTHEA rd. yesterday and this morning -- so maybe to do a change over/ hook up it was turned off for safety.

Perhaps that was the case and they just figure people are used to the random outages. In the states all of the line work is done hot. I've driven by a lot of replacement work going on over the years, including main lines that I know fed my house while I didn't lose power. Power lines are relocated all the times as part of intersection or road widening projects. They follow standard safety procedures while they do all that while the lines are still live.

I live right next to Niagara Falls and we pay 11-12 cents, it should be about half of that but they sell it out of state. Go figure.

There was a time when some of the electrical pioneers wanted the electricity from Niagara to be given to the public for free, since nobody "owned" the falls.

(Just a tidbit of info, noting that Dave could have been riding on a utility gravy train if the strong (at the time) socialist and and pro-blue collar factions had gotten their way. So, please don't flame me for being a socialist).

Power Outage- just one of those things you deal with while living in Paradise.

Alana - when is your big move to Florida date?

Tomorrow!
Lock, stock and dog in cargo.
Hopefully, well both get to our destination, together, on the same planes, at the same time! Fingers crossed.
